Lacey Anderson gives an Autobiography of her first descents:
All have been in Mexico and the majority have been multi-day expeditions. I have written some first descent articles for NRS Duct Tape Diaries http://community.nrs.com/duct-tape/author/laceyanderson/ and others can be found on my blog http://nocoolers.com/topics/first-descent/
I did two first descents before the age of 50:
*Agua Azul (State of Chiapas) – upper sections in rafts – mid-1990´s.
It took our team all-day and into the late evening/early morning to complete these waterfalls with rafts. It was a grueling hike out with rafting equipment; we were done around 2 in the morning. This was my first tantalizing taste of first descents!
*Rio Urique in Copper Canyon – 2002
I organized, lead and guided the first commercial descent of the Urique river in Copper Canyon Mexico.
All of the fun really began after I turned 50!
*Mulatos- First Descent by Cataraft – Second Descent Period
*Aros- First Descent by Cataraft – Second Descent Period
*Yaqui – First Descent by Cataraft – Second Descent Period
*Baluarte (Sinaloa) – First Descent by Cataraft
